Tulle Gown

This gown was created near the beginning of the pandemic-lockdown as a personal challenge and sort of escapism into fantasy. It also allowed me to learn about processes and skills that I might not normally use in my everyday design practice. This project was inspired by fairy tale-like scenes, driven by nostalgia and childlike imagination. Wandering around the empty halls of a chateau, fairies flying around in floating dresses, royalty in carriages on their way to a ball. The materials, color, and silhouette that followed reflected this dive into a soft world of enchantment and comfort.
