Wear Your Groove On Your Sleeve

When starting this collection, I was inspired by the costumes and garments worn by performers, primarily those in music. I was most interested in the fabrics used when creating an ensemble meant to be seen on a stage. Sequins, reflective fabrics, and floating materials can catch the eye of any audience member, even if they are sitting in the nosebleeds. This allowed me the opportunity to work with novelty materials that I hadn’t previously had a chance to use. Each look was inspired by a song, with all the songs being upbeat, so that the collection is reflective of a concert or dance party.
